Roll-Off Dumpster Rental across Dothan and Houston County
Roll-off is the container everybody actually pictures when they say dumpster — the open-top steel box that arrives on the back of a truck, gets rolled off onto your driveway or jobsite, and gets winched back on when you are done. Everything else we do is a variation on it.
The mechanics are simple. What is not always obvious is that the number on the side is a volume, not a capacity. A 30 yard box holds 30 cubic yards of space, but what you can legally put in it is governed by weight, and the two run out at very different times depending on what you are throwing away.
What the four sizes actually suit
Every size we run comes with a stated tonnage allowance, and matching the material to that allowance is the whole game.
- 10 yard — the heavy-debris box. Concrete, brick, dirt, tile, small roofing jobs, single-room strip-outs. Low sides make it easy to load by hand.
- 15 yard — the most under-rated size. Garage and attic cleanouts, kitchen remodels, mid-size tear-offs. Fits a normal driveway comfortably.
- 20 yard — the workhorse. Whole-home decluttering, flooring and siding, larger tear-offs, most renovation phases where weight is the constraint.
- 30 yard — volume without much weight. Full renovations, new construction, estate clearances, commercial fit-outs, demolition of light structures.
Space, access and what the truck needs
The container footprint is only half the question. The truck needs a straight approach of roughly 60 feet to line up, and about 23 feet of overhead clearance to tip the bed and roll the box off. Low branches, service cables, carport roofs and gate arches are the usual obstacles.
Ground matters too. A firm, level surface is ideal. Long red-clay drives out toward Columbia or Cowarts hold a loaded truck well in dry weather and much less well after a wet week — tell us the surface when you book and we will send the right truck and pick the right day.
Flat pricing, stated tonnage, no surprises
Our quote is a single number covering delivery, the rental period, collection, fuel, disposal and a stated tonnage allowance. If the load goes over that allowance you pay the per-ton rate we told you at booking, and nothing else appears afterwards.
That is deliberately different to the industry norm of a low headline rate followed by a fuel surcharge, an environmental fee, a trip charge and an overfill fee. The cost guide walks through the add-ons worth asking any hauler about before you book.

Roll-Off Dumpster Rental — your questions
What does 'roll-off' actually mean?
It describes how the container is delivered. The truck tilts its bed and the box rolls off on rails onto your surface, then a cable winch pulls it back up when it is collected. That is why the truck needs a straight approach and decent overhead clearance rather than just a parking space.
How much room do I need for a roll-off?
Roughly 20 feet of length for a 10 or 15 yard and about 27 feet for a 20 or 30, plus around 10 feet of width to allow the rear doors to swing. The truck separately needs about 60 feet of straight approach and 23 feet of overhead clearance.
Is the price based on weight or size?
Both. You pay a flat rate for the container size and rental period, and that rate includes a stated tonnage allowance. Go over the allowance and the excess is charged per ton. That is why the densest materials often belong in the smallest box.
Can I move the container once it has been delivered?
No, please do not. A loaded roll-off is extremely heavy and moving it will damage your surface and can be dangerous. If it is in the wrong place, call us and we will reposition it properly.
Do the doors open?
Yes, every container has a rear barn door that swings open so you can walk heavy items in rather than lifting them over the side. Tell the driver which way you want the doors facing when we set it — it makes a real difference on furniture and appliances.
