Learn moreNewton, Alabama · Dale County
Newton is one of the oldest towns in this part of Alabama, laid out around a small square with the Choctawhatchee River not far off. We haul roll-off containers there for renovation, cleanout and river-bottom property work.

History runs deep in Newton, and it shows in the housing. The blocks around the town square hold homes and buildings that predate most of what you will find in Dothan, with construction methods to match. Farther out, properties drop toward the Choctawhatchee River and its creek bottoms, where land is low, wooded and prone to holding water. That geography defines a lot of our work: places that flood, outbuildings that rot, timber that comes down in a storm. In town, the projects are renovation and estate work on older homes where families are modernizing without tearing down what makes the house worth keeping.
Water damage and flood cleanup is a recurring job here, and it is unpleasant work we are glad to make easier: soaked flooring, ruined drywall, saturated insulation and furniture that cannot be saved. We also handle storm and timber cleanup after wind events knock pines across fences and outbuildings. Around the square, renovation of the older homes produces dense demolition debris. Add barn and shed clearing on the rural tracts and hunting camp cleanups before the season, and Newton keeps us busy in every part of the year.

We run north on US-231 out of Dothan and then cut west on the county roads that connect over to Newton, coming into town from the Midland City side. The last stretch is two-lane with some curves and a few narrow bridges, so we take it steady with a loaded box. For properties down near the river bottoms, we ask about the condition of the drive before we commit the truck to it.

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on the ground. Bottomland near the Choctawhatchee holds water long after the rain stops, and a loaded roll-off truck will find every soft spot. If the drive is firm and wide enough we will come down it. If not, we can stage the container at the top of the property and you bring the debris up.
Wet material is heavy and awkward. For a single flooded room a 15-yard works, but for a whole house that took water we recommend a 30-yard so you can keep moving while things are still coming out. Get soaked carpet and pad in early before it holds more water, and keep the load level with the rails so we can tarp it.
Yes, and around Newton it happens often because storm and water jobs uncover more than anyone expected. Call before your pickup date and we will push it out. The one thing to avoid is letting an open container sit loaded through days of rain, since standing water in the box adds real weight and can affect the haul.
Limbs, brush and cut sections are fine and we take plenty of them from the Newton area. What causes problems is a stump with a root ball packed full of dirt, or a trunk so long it will not lie below the rails. Cut material to manageable lengths, keep the soil out, and a storm cleanup load goes off without a hitch.
